ASUS has officially unveiled the ExpertCenter PN55 mini PC, previously teased at CES. The compact desktop now reveals its full specs, featuring the latest AMD Ryzen AI 400 series processors designed to boost multitasking and AI workloads.
The top-tier model is powered by the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 APU, delivering strong multithreaded performance. However, expect only modest gains compared to the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, since both the Gorgon Point and Strix Point architectures share much of the same performance profile.
ASUS is also offering a range of more affordable Ryzen AI processors for this mini PC:
- Ryzen AI 9 465
- Ryzen AI 7 Pro 450
- Ryzen AI 7 450
- Ryzen AI 7 445
- Ryzen AI 5 Pro 440
- Ryzen AI 5 435
- Ryzen AI 5 430
Higher-end models come with Radeon 890M integrated graphics, while more budget-friendly options use Radeon 840M, 860M, or 880M GPUs.
Although the Radeon 890M iGPU is fairly powerful, it falls short of newer contenders like Intel’s Arc B390 from the Panther Lake series. Still, it is more than capable for everyday tasks and light gaming sessions.

The ExpertCenter PN55 supports up to 64GB of RAM and a maximum of 4TB storage. Its I/O lineup includes:
- Three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports and one USB 2.0 Type-A port
- One USB4 and one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port
- Two DisplayPort 1.4 outputs and one HDMI 2.1 port
- Dual 2.5G Ethernet ports and Wi-Fi 7 support
- Combined audio jack
Measuring just 5.12 × 5.12 × 1.34 inches and weighing around 0.6 kg (1.3 lbs), the PN55 is a compact powerhouse targeting small-form-factor PC users who crave performance without the bulk.
Additional features include a built-in speaker, Kensington lock slot for security, VESA mount compatibility, and MIL-STD-810H durability certification-rare perks among mini PCs.
ASUS has not yet announced pricing or availability, but those details should emerge soon. This launch highlights AMD’s growing Ryzen AI lineup aimed at AI-optimized computing in compact form factors.
With Intel and Apple pushing powerful compact desktops and small form factors, ASUS’s ExpertCenter PN55 offers another versatile option, especially appealing to business users wanting AI capabilities without stepping up to bulkier workstations. Keep an eye on how AMD’s Ryzen AI chips evolve and whether this mini PC hits the sweet spot for professionals and enthusiasts seeking a no-compromise compact machine.
