CD Projekt, the studio behind The Witcher and Cyberpunk franchises, has dropped hints about an unannounced game set to launch within the next few quarters. The revelation came through the company’s recent earnings report, where it revealed plans to publish a ”heretofore unannounced gaming project” without sharing additional details or a concrete release date.
Speculation is rampant among fans, some hoping the tease signals a new Witcher 3 expansion bridging to Witcher 4, but there is no official confirmation backing this theory. CD Projekt already has several projects in development: The Witcher 4, a remake of the original Witcher, Cyberpunk 2, a new intellectual property called Hadar, and a mysterious title codenamed Sirius. They also have a mobile game partnership with Scopely announced in March 2025, based on one of their existing franchises, underscoring a push into mobile gaming.
CD Projekt’s unannounced game and development lineup
In the earnings report, CD Projekt highlighted ambitions to build a ”franchise flywheel concept,” aiming to create an interconnected ecosystem of games and products to collectively boost each other. This approach echoes strategies historically used by entertainment giants like Disney, seeking to amplify revenue across multiple platforms through shared intellectual property.
Introducing multiplayer features into future CD Projekt games
The company also expressed interest in integrating multiplayer features into future titles to enhance engagement-a stark shift for a developer typically associated with single-player experiences. An earlier attempt to launch Cyberpunk multiplayer was unsuccessful, indicating this remains challenging territory for CD Projekt.
Upcoming releases: The Witcher 4, Hadar, and new mobile titles
Alongside this, CD Projekt updated on The Witcher 4 and the new IP Hadar, and recently saw The Witcher adapted into a new Reigns game. The positive outlook is reflected in their recently raised profit goals, bolstered by plans to release Witcher 4, 5, and 6 within a six-year time frame. The mystery project teased now adds another layer of anticipation for what the company will unveil next.
