Lenovo has introduced a new pair of true wireless earbuds under its YOGA brand, targeting budget-conscious users who want easy connectivity and solid sound without overspending. Launched in China on March 18 at 599 yuan ($86), the Lenovo YOGA True Wireless Noise-Cancelling Earbuds focus on practical features rather than flashy specs.

One standout aspect is their ”DNA-level recognition” pairing with YOGA laptops, which allows the earbuds to connect instantly upon opening the case. This feature is essentially a fast, seamless connection trick but convenient nonetheless. Additionally, these earbuds support simultaneous connections to two devices, making it easy to switch between a phone and a laptop without reconnecting manually.

Under the hood, the YOGA TWS earbuds use 12.2mm dual-magnetic drivers, covering the standard 20Hz to 20kHz frequency range. This setup promises decent audio quality suitable for everyday listening. For calls, three microphones in each earbud enable environmental noise cancellation (ENC), while active noise cancellation (ANC) can reduce noise by up to 40 dB. These ANC levels are fairly competitive in this price bracket.

Battery life offers about seven hours without ANC and 4.5 hours with ANC active on a single charge. The included charging case extends total playback to 36 hours without ANC and 24 hours with ANC enabled. Lenovo also includes a useful fast-charge feature where ten minutes of charging delivers roughly two hours of listening time. The earbuds have an IPX4 rating, so they should handle sweat and light rain during workouts.

Currently exclusive to China, these earbuds strengthen Lenovo’s efforts to unify its YOGA devices into a cohesive ecosystem. While the specs are not groundbreaking, the combination of hassle-free connectivity, dual-device support, solid ANC, and decent battery life makes them a compelling option in the mid-range segment. Whether Lenovo will bring these earbuds to global markets remains to be seen, but they mark a sensible step in expanding the YOGA brand beyond laptops and tablets.
