Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra is advertised to support 25W ”Super Fast Wireless Charging,” but independent tests suggest it may only reach about 15W wireless charging speeds, even when used with official Samsung accessories. The accessory maker dbrand tested Samsung’s 25W magnetic charger, 45W travel adapter, and several Samsung-branded magnetic cases-including Silicone Magnet, Clear Magnet, Rugged Magnet, and Slim Magnet cases. Their results consistently showed the phone topping out at approximately 15W wireless charging.

dbrand’s investigation began after complaints that their own Ghost case seemed to reduce the S26 Ultra’s charging performance. However, even when testing official Samsung cases, the outcome remained the same-no real 25W wireless charging was achieved. These findings align with multiple user reports observing peak charging speeds closer to 15W instead of the advertised 25W, raising questions about the S26 Ultra’s actual wireless charging capabilities and how it interacts with different accessories.

Some Galaxy S26 Ultra owners have reported achieving the marketed ”Super Fast Wireless Charging” speeds when using magnetic cases from other brands like ESR and Spigen, or wireless chargers from manufacturers such as Belkin. This inconsistency indicates a potential compatibility or firmware optimization issue, rather than a strict hardware limitation. Samsung has not yet commented on these discrepancies.

While Samsung markets the S26 Ultra as capable of 25W magnetic wireless charging, real-world usage suggests that reliably reaching that output may depend on specific accessory combinations or software updates. Buyers aiming to maximize wireless charging speeds should consider third-party magnetic cases and chargers or await further clarifications from Samsung. Meanwhile, using a basic protective case remains a safe short-term choice without sacrificing charging performance.
