RedMagic is gearing up to launch the successor to its Astra gaming tablet, hinting at a device packed with ”10 technologies” and boasting an ultra-high refresh rate screen. Early leaks suggest the new model will feature a 200 Hz OLED display, a massive leap over its predecessor.

According to a recent leak from Digital Chat Station, RedMagic’s upcoming tablet is expected to sport an OLED panel with a 200 Hz refresh rate. This would position it ahead of the competition, including Lenovo’s latest Legion Tab Gen 5, which comes with an 8.8-inch IPS screen running at 165 Hz.

The promotional material also mentions a ”new luminescent material” for the display, aimed at enhancing image quality. In addition, RedMagic promises a revamped cooling system ”on par with PC-level solutions,” likely to keep performance stable during extended gaming sessions.

RedMagic upcoming gaming tablet teaser

RedMagic highlights its Cube PowerGame Engine as a key feature, promising enhanced gaming experiences through better image quality and lower power consumption. The device will sport a transparent, flat design and a ”top-tier touch chipset” aimed at delivering ultra-responsive controls.

Battery life is another selling point: the new tablet reportedly packs the largest battery in its class while maintaining a compact form factor. Although there’s no official release date yet, the launch is expected in China by March 2026.

RedMagic, a Chinese brand known for aggressively priced gaming phones and accessories, has carved out a niche competing with the likes of Asus ROG and Lenovo Legion in the mobile gaming space. The jump to a 200 Hz OLED panel would be a standout feature globally, as even top-tier competitors like Samsung’s Galaxy Tab gaming models stick to 120-165 Hz LCD or AMOLED panels.

This upcoming RedMagic gaming tablet sets a new bar for refresh rates in gaming tablets, but how the device balances battery life, heat management, and real-world performance will be important to watch. Keep an eye on whether this ”PC-level” cooling and high-end display translate to a genuinely smoother mobile gaming experience in early 2026.
