TCL has revealed two colossal 163-inch Micro LED TVs in China: the Max163M and Max163M Pro. These models build on the company’s lineup of ultra-large displays following the 2024 X11H Max, pushing home theater scale further than ever.
The base Max163M is positioned as a flagship 4K Micro LED TV boasting an impressive peak brightness of up to 10,000 nits (XDR) and complete coverage of the BT.2020 color gamut. Its display features ultra-low reflection levels and is housed in a sleek, slim chassis.

Running on TCL’s Spirit Control System 3.0, the Max163M grants easy access to popular streaming apps and services. Connectivity includes four HDMI 2.1 ports, one USB 3.0, and one USB 2.0 port, catering to high-resolution and high-bandwidth needs.
The Max163M Pro builds on this foundation, pushing brightness beyond 10,000 nits and offering a higher refresh rate of 4K at 120Hz-details not confirmed for the base model. Essentially, the Pro targets enthusiasts wanting peak performance in both vividness and smooth motion.

In China, the Max163M is priced at 249,999 yuan (around $35,900), while the Max163M Pro costs 349,999 yuan (about $50,300). There’s no information yet on international availability.
For perspective, TCL’s overseas lineup includes large-sized TVs like the 115-inch QM89 QLED model with Mini LED backlighting, but these new 163-inch Micro LED displays raise the bar dramatically for home cinema setups.
While these giant Micro LED panels currently target the Chinese market and premium buyers, their specs signal a clear move toward ultra-premium, super-sized TVs that could challenge offerings from Samsung’s The Wall and Sony’s Crystal LED, which remain niche and costly in most regions.
As display technology progresses, watching how TCL balances size, brightness, and affordability will be key to seeing whether such massive Micro LED TVs become more mainstream or stay luxury showcase items. The next challenge: how to integrate these into real living rooms beyond wow-factor demos.
