As the Formula 1 season accelerates, IWC Schaffhausen celebrates its ongoing partnership with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team by unveiling two exclusive limited-edition Pilot’s watches honoring British driver George Russell. Both models, capped at 1,063 pieces, pay stylish tribute to Russell, featuring design elements inspired by his race car livery and personal branding, notably his lucky number 63 engraved on a titanium case back.
The base of the collection is the Pilot’s Watch 41 George Russell, featuring a 41 mm black zirconium oxide ceramic case paired with a dial that echoes the deep blue signature shade of the Mercedes F1 team. Its dial layout is clean, with Arabic numerals and a minute track enhancing legibility, powered by IWC’s in-house caliber 32112 automatic movement offering a substantial 120-hour power reserve. The watch also includes a date window at 3 o’clock for daily utility.
Alongside this, the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 George Russell ups the technical ante. Sporting a slightly larger 41.9 mm case made from Ceratanium®-a tough, lightweight titanium alloy-the chronograph is equipped with a soft iron inner case to shield against magnetic interference. Inside, the chronograph boasts the robust 69380 caliber with a 46-hour power reserve, controlled via Ceratanium® crown and pushers that highlight the watch’s modern engineering.
Both models come fitted with a vibrant azure rubber strap matching the team’s colors and feature IWC’s EasyX-Change® system for quick and hassle-free strap swaps. This limited run aligns perfectly with the racing spirit-only 1,063 pieces are available, paying homage to the driver’s lucky number and symbolizing the high-performance precision both on track and on the wrist.
