The flawless rating is preliminary, pending the release of official repair manuals and spare parts through Lenovo’s website. Still, the groundwork is impressive: these ThinkPads feature easily removable SSDs and RAM, which comes in the LPCA M.2 module form factor. Unlike soldered memory found on many laptops, this modular RAM allows users to upgrade or replace components without professional tools.
Lenovo also made keyboard replacement straightforward by using a one-piece removable module. Battery swaps require no more effort than popping out a tray, and even the screen can be replaced easily.
