The Japanese tuning company DAMD has introduced the Resonator, a new retro-style body kit for the 2025 Honda StepWGN. This kit targets enthusiasts wanting to combine modern practicality with nostalgic design cues, transforming the utilitarian minivan with a vintage vibe inspired by 1970s and 1980s American vans.
The Resonator package offers a comprehensive visual transformation on the StepWGN. Key features include a squared-off front fascia with round headlights, flared wheel arches, and a bulbous roofline reminiscent of classic Japanese vans and 1980s Chevy models. The front end features custom Koito headlights designed with a deliberately ”unfinished” look that enhances retro character without overpowering the vehicle’s modern silhouette.
This styling approach bridges the gap between contemporary Japanese MPVs and vintage American vans, making the StepWGN look both familiar and fresh. The kit suits owners who appreciate heritage styling yet still want a practical family vehicle for today’s roads.
The Resonator kit includes DAMD’s full signature craftsmanship, featuring:
- Front and rear bumpers
- Side skirts
- Custom alloy wheels
Pricing for the complete Resonator body kit starts near 476,300 yen, while individual components are available from approximately 240,000 yen, positioning it as a premium aftermarket option in Japan.
