At MWC 2026, Tecno unveiled its vision for a tightly integrated AIoT ecosystem centered around the OneLeap platform, designed to let smartphones, tablets, and PCs work together without the usual fuss of pairing or switching devices. Along with this software upgrade, it launched three new gadgets that showcase the potential of this interconnected world: the MEGAPAD 2 tablet, Watch GT 1S smartwatch, and FreeHear 2 open-ear earbuds.

OneLeap tackles a persistent pain point in digital life-juggling multiple devices with separate logins and apps-by creating a unified interface where devices automatically discover and connect to each other. You can drag and drop files or text across up to three devices simultaneously, control all of them with one keyboard and mouse, and extend displays from phone to tablet to PC for versatile multitasking setups. This moves beyond simple Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connectivity to a more fluid experience focused on workflow enhancement.

OneLeap supports impressive real-time features too, such as face-to-face translation in over 160 languages, which plays translated speech directly through Tecno’s audio devices while saving transcripts on your phone. That kind of AI-powered cross-device communication hints at a future where language barriers become nearly invisible in meetings or travel.

The MEGAPAD 2 is Tecno’s flagship tablet stepping into this ecosystem. It offers an 11-inch 2.5K screen with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate inside an ultra-slim 6.6mm body. The tablet runs on HiOS and boasts AI-driven tools like problem solving for independent learning, multi-language translation, and document summarization. Through OneLeap, it acts not just as a standalone device but as an extension of your phone or PC, supporting file sharing and desktop display modes.

On the wearable front, the Watch GT 1S packs dual-band GPS for precise location tracking along with sensors to monitor heart rate, blood oxygen, stress, and sleep quality. Its 15-day battery life and 5ATM water resistance make it competitive with midrange smartwatches. Noteworthy is the AI-powered customization for watch faces, letting users generate unique designs from images or text prompts-an example of AI nudging personalization beyond mere watch steps and notifications.

The FreeHear 2 earbuds take a different approach with an open-ear C-bridge clip design that lets you stay aware of surroundings while enjoying spatial audio from their 10.8mm dynamic drivers. At 5.4 grams per earbud and up to 46 hours of total battery life, plus a quick charge feature, they aim to balance comfort, sound quality, and endurance for all-day use.

Tecno plans to release these devices gradually in select global markets through the first half of 2026, with pricing details to be revealed regionally. The OneLeap ecosystem positions Tecno as more than just a smartphone maker; it’s moving toward a holistic smart device platform in a world where users increasingly expect their gadgets to cooperate rather than compete.

As AI integrations become a standard battleground among device makers, Tecno’s focus on cross-device synergy and AI-powered productivity tools feels like a smart bet. However, its success depends on user adoption of multiple Tecno devices and how well OneLeap competes against more established ecosystems like Apple’s Continuity or Samsung’s Galaxy ecosystem-which already have extensive hardware portfolios and developer support. Still, for markets looking beyond the traditional tech giants, Tecno’s approach to linking AIoT gadgets under one AI-enhanced umbrella might spark fresh interest.
