Samsung has accidentally revealed details ahead of its summer Unpacked event on July 22. Leaked renders show the Galaxy Z Flip 8 in three new colors-Cream, Graphite, and Pink-featuring a mostly unchanged design but a notably refreshed color palette.
The leak originated from Android Headlines and was quickly confirmed by SamMobile. Unlike prior leaks focusing on specs or cases, this time the emphasis is on the color options. These images arrive alongside earlier leaks of the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and a rumored wider foldable device, believed to be Samsung’s answer to the first foldable iPhone.
Compared to last year’s Galaxy Z Flip 7, which offered vivid shades like Jet Black, Blue Shadow, and Coral Red, the Flip 8 adopts softer, more muted tones. Pink appears toned down, Cream leans toward an off-white milky shade, and Graphite is a lightened black rather than a deep charcoal. Although there are rumors of a Mint color, it’s absent from these latest renders-Samsung often reserves special colors exclusively for its online store.
Design-wise, the Flip 8 remains similar to its predecessor. The dual-camera setup, buttons, and bezels appear nearly identical to the Galaxy Z Flip 7. Samsung’s strategy for foldables recently has been incremental, refining rather than reinventing the form factor. This approach aligns with IDC data showing that global foldable smartphone shipments grew slower than expected in 2023. Samsung is also under pressure from Motorola’s Razr lineup, which emphasizes bold looks and diverse color options to attract buyers.

Upcoming Samsung Unpacked event highlights
At the London Unpacked event on July 22, Samsung is expected to unveil not just the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 series, but also the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. Artificial intelligence will be a central theme, with new Galaxy AI features rumored to enhance the technology introduced in the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Additionally, there is speculation about smart glasses without displays-if launched, they would mark Samsung’s serious entry into a market currently led by Meta.
