Vivo appears ready to take its X500 series beyond China. The global version of the Vivo X500 Pro Max has just appeared in Indonesia’s TKDN certification database-a key step usually signaling an imminent international release. With a launch expected in China this September, the worldwide rollout could follow shortly after.
The Indonesian TKDN entry lists the device under model number V2610, which matches a previously leaked IMEI record, reinforcing the likelihood of a global edition. While the certification doesn’t reveal specifications, it marks the phone’s transition from internal Chinese filings to obtaining the mandatory approvals needed for foreign markets.
For Indonesia, TKDN certification isn’t just formal paperwork-it’s a legal requirement ensuring a certain percentage of local components in electronics and telecom devices. Without it, smartphones can’t be widely sold there. Manufacturers typically secure this certification close to an official regional announcement, often followed by other local registrations like SDPPI.
Leaks suggest the Vivo X500 Pro Max is engineered to impress without compromise:
- 6.85-inch OLED display with 2K resolution, LTPO panel, and 144Hz refresh rate
- Ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor
- Runs Android 17 with Vivo’s OriginOS 7
- Potentially powered by an unreleased 2nm MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset
- Massive 8,000mAh battery supporting fast wired and wireless charging
The camera setup could also set new benchmarks. On the front is rumored a 50MP selfie shooter. The rear reportedly houses:
- A 50MP Sony LYT-838 main sensor (1/1.28-inch)
- A 50MP ultra-wide Sony IMX8-series sensor
- A 200MP periscope telephoto lens featuring a 1/1.4-inch sensor and an 85mm focal length
For context, most current flagship periscope cameras max out around 50MP, so Vivo’s choice of a 200MP zoom lens clearly targets superior long-range photography capabilities.
Typically, Vivo launches its X series in China first, then gradually introduces select models to other Asian and European markets. The X500 Pro Max will face stiff competition globally from devices like the Xiaomi 16 Ultra, OPPO Find X9 Ultra, and Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. The competition focuses not only on chipset performance but also on camera technology, battery life, and charging speeds.
Expect more details about the Vivo X500 Pro Max in the coming weeks through additional certifications or official teasers from Vivo as the global debut approaches.
