BYD just launched its new flagship sedan, the Seal 08, on the Chinese market with a starting price of 197,000 yuan-about 2.3 million rubles or roughly $27,000. The car stretches over 5.15 meters long and offers a premium feel with features like pneumatic suspension, a fully steerable chassis, and BYD’s proprietary ”Eye of God” level B autopilot system. Available in six trims, the Seal 08 comes in both a hybrid DM-i version and a fully electric variant.
The Seal 08 slots into the large sedan segment, noticeably outsizing the Toyota Camry. While the Camry measures about 4.92 meters long with a 2,825 mm wheelbase, BYD’s new sedan stretches 5,150 mm with a 3,030 mm wheelbase.
