Rockstar Games has not opened preorders for GTA VI, but some of the juiciest new details about the game have apparently come from an unusual source: Brazilian retail listings. Pages on Amazon Brazil and Kabum have surfaced with gameplay descriptions that go further than Rockstar’s own current marketing, including real-time character switching, social-media-style systems, and PS5 Pro support.
The leaked copy is interesting not just because it adds texture to the long wait for GTA VI, but because it sketches the shape of Rockstar’s next big open-world experiment: a crime story built around two protagonists, a more reactive city, and a world that sounds even more simulation-heavy than GTA V. Retail pages are not official design docs, of course, but they often echo publisher-approved copy closely enough to be worth a raised eyebrow.
Jason and Lucia take center stage
According to the retailer descriptions, GTA VI is set in the Florida-inspired state of Leonida and follows Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos as they get pulled into a criminal conspiracy while chasing easy money. Players will be able to switch between the two in real time, which should give the story a faster rhythm than a straight single-lead campaign.
The listings also say each protagonist has unique abilities that affect the ”criminal ecosystem” and mission tactics. That sounds like Rockstar is leaning harder into asymmetrical mission design, where the pair is not just a narrative device but part of the gameplay loop. A smart move, if true: two leads only matter when the game actually treats them differently.
Social feeds, NPCs and a bigger Vice City feel
One of the more unusual claims is the integration of ”special networks” through the in-game phone. Players would reportedly watch viral clips, follow Vice City bloggers, and unlock secret missions through that system. That fits Rockstar’s habit of satirizing modern life, but it also points to a world that is meant to feel constantly online rather than simply populated.
- What the retailer pages promise: the ”biggest, densest and wildest” Rockstar world yet
- NPCs powered by ”progressive AI” with daily routines
- ”Interactive businesses” and organic random events
- ”Super-coordinated” heists
- Weather and time of day affecting gameplay
GTA VI release date, price and the PS5 Pro pitch
The listings also repeat the release plan: GTA VI is due on 19 November for PS5, Xbox Series X and S, with pricing starting at $80, or 9,999 rubles in Russia. Retail versions are said to come with a download code instead of a disc, along with regional restrictions. That is the sort of detail publishers usually prefer to control themselves, especially at a moment when physical releases are becoming more symbolic than practical.
There is also a clear hardware message buried in the copy. The game is described as optimized for PS5 Pro, with higher and more stable frame rates and a sharper image. Sony has every reason to welcome that, because big third-party showcases on upgraded consoles help make premium hardware feel less like a luxury and more like the place where the ”best” version of a blockbuster lives.
The obvious question is how much of this survives contact with Rockstar’s own final messaging. For now, the retailer pages paint a familiar but more detailed picture: a massive open world, two criminals at the center, and a social-heavy Vice City that sounds designed to mock the modern internet while borrowing its worst habits.
