RedMagic has refreshed its gaming phone line in China with the 11S Pro and 11S Pro+, but this is more of a tuning pass than a full reboot. The headline change is a faster Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Leading Version, while the rest of the spec sheet sticks close to the earlier 11 Pro models – which is exactly what you’d expect from a brand that would rather squeeze another frame out of the same hardware than start over.

The new chip is a boosted take on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, with the Prime core running at 4.74 GHz. That puts RedMagic in the same overclocked territory as Samsung’s Galaxy S26 ”for Galaxy” version, and it shows how quickly Android flagships are drifting into custom silicon tuning wars rather than all-new designs.

RedMagic 11S Pro and 11S Pro+ specs

On memory and storage, the split is simple. The 11S Pro comes with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, while the 11S Pro+ goes up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage. Both phones keep the same 6.85-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, 144 Hz refresh rate, BOE X10 panel, and 2000 cd/m2 peak brightness.

  • RedMagic 11S Pro: 12 GB RAM, 256 GB storage, 8000 mAh battery, 80 W wired charging
  • RedMagic 11S Pro+: 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage or 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage, 7500 mAh battery, 120 W wired charging
  • Both models: 80 W wireless charging, bypass charging, IPX8 protection, 520 Hz touch triggers

Cooling, cameras and software

The 11S Pro+ keeps RedMagic’s dual cooling setup, combining a physical fan spinning at up to 24,000 rpm with liquid cooling. The standard 11S Pro gets the fan only, which is the less extravagant answer but still very much in line with the brand’s obsession with thermal headroom.

Both phones also ship with a 16 MP front camera under the display, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and the same rear camera trio seen on the previous RedMagic 11 Pro generation: 50 MP main, 50 MP ultrawide, and 2 MP macro. Software is RedMagic OS 11.5 based on Android 16, and color choices are Silver Wing and Dark Night.

RedMagic 11S Pro price in China

Pricing is where the ”S” badge starts to look a lot like a familiar premium tax. The 11S Pro is sold in one version only, with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage for 5499 yuan, roughly $807/€694. The 11S Pro+ starts at 6199 yuan, about $910/€782, and climbs to 7999 yuan, or around $1174/€1008, for the 16 GB RAM and 1 TB model.

That leaves RedMagic doing what it often does best: offering one of the more aggressively specified gaming phones around, then charging accordingly for the privilege. The real question is whether buyers want the faster chip enough to trade up from the regular 11 Pro, or whether this is the kind of refresh that mostly impresses spec-sheet addicts and nobody else.
