Goboault has launched two new portable Bluetooth speakers in India: the Mustang GT20 and Mustang GT40. Both models feature a bold automotive-inspired design that echoes the rugged, grille-heavy look found in retro-style speakers like those from Marshall.

The Mustang GT20 is the more compact model, delivering 20 watts of power. It includes a pair of dynamic drivers plus a passive radiator to enhance bass response. The speaker stands out with a textured faux-leather finish, metal grille, signature branding, subtle underglow lighting, and a base shaped like a car part.

It also features a novelty ignition-style switch that simulates engine start-up sounds, adding a playful automotive touch. Battery level is displayed as a fuel gauge, complemented by RGB lighting effects. The speaker supports Bluetooth 6.0, True Wireless Stereo (TWS) pairing, and playback from TF cards and USB drives. Battery life lasts up to seven hours, and the speaker has an IPX4 rating for water resistance.

The Mustang GT40 increases power output to 40 watts while keeping the same driver and passive radiator configuration. Its design stays true to the automotive theme with leather-like textures, a metal grille, reinforced angled corners, and a convenient carry strap.

Unlike the GT20, the GT40 features dedicated metal knobs for adjusting bass, treble, and volume, providing enhanced user control. Battery status is also displayed via a fuel gauge indicator. Connectivity options match the smaller model’s – Bluetooth 6.0, TWS support, TF card, and USB playback. Battery life and water resistance remain the same at seven hours and IPX4, respectively.

Pricing for the Mustang series is as follows:

  • Mustang GT20: 2,999 Indian rupees (approximately $36)
  • Mustang GT40: 3,999 Indian rupees (approximately $48)

Both speakers are available now on Goboault’s official website and major Indian e-commerce platforms.

Goboault’s Mustang series taps into a niche trend of audio gear borrowing design cues from automotive culture, similar to how brands like Bang & Olufsen and JBL have embraced distinctive aesthetic themes. With Bluetooth 6.0 support, these models offer updated wireless technology that aligns with global market standards, while their price points are more affordable than many premium competitors.

Consumers outside India should watch for potential international expansion of the Mustang lineup. The combination of playful car motifs with practical features could attract enthusiasts looking for a speaker that doubles as a conversation piece. How these speakers perform compared to established competitors like JBL’s rugged portable range or Marshall’s vintage-inspired models remains to be seen in real-world testing.
