Xiaomi’s new tablet, the Poco C Pad, has appeared in the FCC database under model number 2603APC14G, signaling its imminent global launch. While the official name wasn’t listed in the filings, the model number matches one found in HyperOS code, confirming the Poco C Pad branding.
The FCC certification (ID: 2AFZZPC14G) reveals key details: the tablet supports 18W wired charging, but the charger won’t come in the box. It will be offered in two color options-Pantone Cool Gray and Pantone Red.
The device is reportedly targeted at several European markets, including Germany, France, Spain, Italy, and the UK, suggesting a broad rollout outside Xiaomi’s native China.
Poco C Pad specifications and design
Interestingly, the documents confirm that the Poco C Pad is essentially a rebranded version of the Redmi Pad 9.7, which launched recently with a very similar model number.
- Aluminum body, 7.4mm thickness
- Weight: 406 grams
- 9.7-inch IPS display with 1280 × 2560 resolution
- 120Hz refresh rate
- Powered by Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 chipset
- 8MP rear camera and 5MP front-facing camera
- 7,600 mAh battery capacity
The Snapdragon 6s chip positions the tablet in the budget segment, offering solid performance for casual users. The 7,600 mAh battery, while slightly smaller than the Redmi Pad 2’s capacity, should provide sufficient battery life for everyday tasks.
Poco C Pad release plans and market positioning
The Poco C Pad is expected to be an affordable option for the mainstream market. However, exact pricing and release dates have not been announced yet.
Unlike Apple’s iPad lineup or Samsung’s Galaxy Tab series, which emphasize premium specs and prices, Xiaomi’s Poco C Pad is positioned as a cost-conscious choice with solid basics. Its 18W charging and 120Hz display put it in line with current midrange tablets while keeping costs reasonable.
As Xiaomi expands Poco’s footprint globally, the key question will be how well the Poco C Pad competes in the crowded budget tablet field. It will face competition from similarly priced offerings like Amazon’s Fire tablets and other value-tier devices.
