Cosplayer Lady Melamori has unveiled a revealing adult Ciri cosplay from The Witcher universe, featuring lingerie detailed with Witcher gear, the Zireael sword, and the iconic Witcher medallion. The photos appeared on VKontakte, timed perfectly with the upcoming Witcher 4, where Ciri takes center stage as the protagonist in a story set several years after The Witcher 3’s finale, depicting her around age 25.

Who is Ciri in The Witcher?

Ciri-full name Cirilla Fiona Elen Rhiannon-is a lithe woman with ash-colored hair and emerald eyes. She’s lightning-fast and remarkably agile, wielding the sword Zireael with such finesse it looks like a dance. Notably, she has a striking tattoo in her bikini area: a crimson rose on a green stem with two leaves, inked while she was part of the Rats gang.

Ciri is more than Geralt’s ward. She’s the Daughter of the Elder Blood, descended from the legendary elven sorceress Lara Dorren, carrying a powerful magical gift from childhood. In The Witcher 3, she can teleport short distances mid-combat and traverse between worlds without portals.

However, in The Witcher 4, Ciri loses her teleportation ability. Instead, CD Projekt RED is boosting her agility, speed, and imbuing her with a new set of magical spells. The developers promise this change fits the lore, not disrupting the established story.

Executive producer of The Witcher 4, Małgorzata Mitrenga, revealed that something happened to Ciri between the events of the third and fourth games that caused her to lose some powers. The new explanation respects both the books and game lore.

What to expect from The Witcher 4 gameplay and story

CD Projekt RED planned Ciri as the next series protagonist nearly nine years ago, long before The Witcher 4 entered development. Geralt will appear as well, residing in Toussaint, but the story’s main focus shifts firmly to Ciri.

The Witcher cosplays have always been a hit in Russian gaming communities, and with The Witcher 4’s announcement, the surge in adult Ciri portrayals has been particularly strong. Lady Melamori’s bold interpretation rides right at this peak moment.

The Witcher 4’s shift to Ciri underscores a broader trend in AAA RPGs: handing the reins to younger protagonists to balance legacy characters with fresh narratives. How this will impact the series’ fanbase and gameplay remains a key point of interest as the game nears release.
