OPPO has revealed a special edition of its Find X9 Ultra smartphone, the Hasselblad Earth Explorer Master Set, ahead of its global launch on April 21. Inspired by the Hasselblad X2D 100C Earth Explorer Limited Edition camera, this collectors’ kit includes a numbered certificate, emphasizing its exclusivity for mobile photography enthusiasts. The Find X9 Ultra Hasselblad edition features a 200MP camera system designed to elevate mobile photography.

The Find X9 Ultra Hasselblad comes in three distinct finishes: Earth Tundra, Polar Glacier, and Velvet Sand Canyon. Its design centers around a large circular camera block, highlighting the phone’s photography focus. The display boasts a 144Hz refresh rate and a new eye-protection technology, with brightness adjustable as low as 1 nit. Running on ColorOS 16, it features an under-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and enhanced durability with IP66, IP68, and IP69 water and dust resistance ratings.

The standout feature is the dual Hasselblad camera system centered around a 200MP main sensor. It supports Hasselblad’s Master Mode for pro-level shooting, the signature LUMO image processing technology, and can record 8K video footage.

The versatile camera array includes:

  • 200MP primary sensor with enhanced light capture
  • 200MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and 36% increased light transmission
  • 50MP ultra-wide camera with 56% improved light sensitivity

  • Next-gen color accuracy sensor with 43% increased light sensitivity
  • 50MP front-facing camera

Earlier leaks indicate the Find X9 Ultra features a 6.78-inch OLED display with a resolution of 3168 × 1440 pixels, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Memory options extend up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. The phone includes a large 7050mAh battery with fast wired charging at 100W and 50W wireless charging support.

Additional features for power users include satellite connectivity, stereo speakers, an infrared port, and advanced camera sensors such as a multispectral sensor for richer image data.

OPPO’s partnership with Hasselblad continues to push smartphone photography forward by combining top-tier hardware and software. The Find X9 Ultra Hasselblad edition competes closely with flagship models from Apple, Samsung, and Google, particularly in sensor size and zoom capabilities-standing out in the premium Android flagship segment.

With the April 21 launch approaching, the key will be how well OPPO balances impressive specifications with actual photo quality, battery life, and software performance. The inclusion of enhanced durability ratings and satellite connectivity suggests this device is designed not only for photographers but also for adventurers and demanding users.
