OnePlus appears to be warming up the crowd for a new Ace phone, and all signs point to the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra. The company has not said the name outright, but the timing fits the leak cycle: a China certification listing has already surfaced, and now a higher-up tease suggests the handset is moving from rumor mill fog into launch territory.

That is usually how these launches go. First come the leaks, then the regulatory paperwork, then the coy social-media hint that pretends not to be a hint at all. OnePlus China president Li Jie Louis recently said a new ”OnePlus Ace” phone is coming soon, which is as close as companies get to shouting without actually shouting.

OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra specifications and leaked hardware

The rumored spec sheet is aiming squarely at the upper end of the performance market. Reports point to a 6.8-inch OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, a 16-megapixel front camera, and a rear setup led by a 50-megapixel main sensor plus an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera.

Under the hood, the phone is expected to use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500, backed by an 8,500mAh battery. Memory options reportedly include:

  • 12GB + 256GB
  • 12GB + 512GB
  • 16GB + 256GB
  • 16GB + 512GB
  • 16GB + 1TB

Color choices may be limited to Black and Titanium. That is a very OnePlus-China kind of formula: big numbers, fast panel, and enough storage to make most laptops blush.

OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra versus Redmi K90 Max

The OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra is expected to run straight into the Redmi K90 Max, which is also being teased ahead of its expected launch this month. The two phones are rumored to share the same chip, battery capacity, and refresh rate, so the battle may come down to cameras, pricing, and which brand can make its phone feel less like a spec sheet and more like a decision.

  • Display: 6.8-inch OLED, 165Hz
  • Chipset: MediaTek Dimensity 9500
  • Battery: 8,500mAh
  • Rear cameras: 50-megapixel main, 8-megapixel ultra-wide
  • Front camera: 16-megapixel

Global launch remains the awkward question

One thing the teaser does not answer is whether the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra will stay a China-only play or get a modified international version later. OnePlus has done this before: a tweaked Ace 6T eventually turned up globally as the OnePlus 15T, so there is at least a recent precedent for recycling the formula when the company thinks the broader market deserves a look.

For now, the safest reading is simple: OnePlus is getting ready to add another high-spec Ace model, and it is doing the usual dance of official hints and unofficial leaks. If the Ace 6 Ultra follows the same path as its recent cousins, the next useful clue will be pricing – because once the hardware looks this aggressive, that number does most of the talking.
