Samsung has released the second beta of its One UI 8.5 interface for the Galaxy S25 FE, starting its rollout in South Korea. This update follows last month’s expansion of the One UI 8.5 beta program to multiple devices, including the Galaxy S25 FE.
The firmware, identified by version ZZD5, delivers nine key fixes and improvements mirroring those in the ninth beta build of One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy S25 flagship. It also includes the April 2026 security patch, addressing 47 vulnerabilities found in earlier system versions.
One UI 8.5 Beta 2 update features for Galaxy S25 FE
- Apple device connectivity via AirDrop now supported
- Three new camera filters added: Classic Film, Pop Film, and Blanc
- Fixed intermittent Bluetooth disconnection and reconnection issues
- Resolved notification card header display glitches
- Corrected color distortion and flickering during zoom in dual recording mode
- Eliminated lag when opening gallery albums under certain conditions
- Fixed inaccurate time display on the Always-On Display
- Improved notification card interface responsiveness when rotating the device
- Fixed a bug where the lock screen briefly appeared during incoming calls before the call screen opened
Samsung plans to extend the One UI 8.5 Beta 2 update to other regions, including India, the UK, and the US, within the next couple of days. Users can check for availability by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install on their Galaxy S25 FE.
This update highlights Samsung’s ongoing drive to refine One UI ahead of the anticipated Android 17-based One UI 9.0, which Samsung has already begun developing.
Samsung’s One UI updates focus on enhancing user experience across the Galaxy lineup by adding customization options, stability fixes, and improved integration with other devices. With the addition of AirDrop support, Samsung narrows the gap with Apple’s iOS ecosystem, reflecting broader trends of cross-platform compatibility in flagship smartphones.
As the Galaxy S25 FE continues to receive these beta updates, watch for how Samsung balances new features with system performance and stability – a key challenge as Android skins become more complex and feature-rich.
