HP revealed its latest gaming desktops at the HP Imagine 2026 event, introducing the high-performance OMEN MAX 45L and the more affordable OMEN 35L. These new rigs aim to deliver serious power and enhanced customization options for gamers and heavy users alike.
The top-tier OMEN MAX 45L targets demanding gamers and intensive workloads. It’s powered by the Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus processor, which HP claims boosts gaming performance by up to 10% over the previous generation. GPU options include the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090, and it supports up to 128GB of DDR5 RAM. To handle that power, HP equipped it with a fully modular 1200W power supply designed for stability and future upgrades.

Cooling duties are handled by a second-generation Cryo Chamber system that supports liquid cooling radiators up to 360mm with an integrated LCD display. The chassis features tool-less assembly and improved cable management, making upgrades hassle-free. HP also ensures full compatibility with standard HyperX components for easier customization.
The OMEN 35L offers a more budget-friendly alternative that still packs a serious punch. It shares the same Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus CPU but pairs it with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 GPU. This model emphasizes quiet, stable operation with an optimized cooling system and retains the user-friendly, upgrade-ready case design found in its bigger sibling.

On the software front, HP enhanced its OMEN AI feature to support more games and enable automatic performance optimization. The refreshed OMEN Gaming Hub app now offers expanded controls for system monitoring and customization, catering to users who demand flexible tuning tools.
Sales for the OMEN MAX 45L kick off in May, though HP has yet to reveal pricing details for either lineup. Expect these new desktops to challenge competitors like Alienware and ASUS ROG with their high-end components and modular design.
HP’s renewed push into gaming PCs under the OMEN brand highlights the ongoing arms race for desktop supremacy as Intel and NVIDIA continue pushing their hardware forward. With modular power supplies, advanced cooling, and smarter AI-driven software, these machines show where gaming PCs are heading: more customizable, more powerful, and smarter about managing resources. How HP’s new rigs stack up once benchmarks and real-world tests arrive will be the next story for enthusiasts tracking performance leaders in the desktop arena.
